Many mov files will work well.( with qt installed) You should be able to move them over without converting. Then optimize them as needed.

I always use hap codec, no problem going between Macs and pcs.

Ok, hap is new to me, what converter do you guys use? Skulpture's suggestion does not cover it.

I have to say this has to be the best forum for quick and succinct replies

To use hap you need to install it:

https://github.com/Vidvox/hap-qt-codec/releases/tag/version-8

It is then available as a QuickTime video format, in most tools.

Ah yes HAP is quite a unique codec so the squared5 software will not have it as standard.
