      Posted on behalf of @FTP

      The current installation I'm building is reflects contemporary concerns about blanket surveillance. I've already successfully implemented tracking bodies and putting crosshairs on them in real time using eyes++ etc.
      The next step I want to implement is a 3d eye model that rotates to 'watch' people as they move through the space. I've managed to accomplish a workable version of this already using the .3ds block model that ships as one of izzy example files, so I know it can be done. My problem has been finding a 3d eye model that will work. So far I've purchased 2 3d eye models, but haven't been able to get either to work. One was advertised to be a .3ds model, but wasn't...the other downloaded in a number of 3d formats, none of which I've been able to successfully convert into a workable .3ds file using free online converters (several of them.)
      Here are links to the files I've been trying to work with:
      https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-mo...
      and https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-mo...
      Any all advise/links/help much appreciated!

        I can convert them for you if you send me the files. I have 3ds Max.

          Thanks @skulpture!

          Also in case you're curious,here is the .izzy file that will track a light green lighter both with cross-hairs and the cube.3ds file from the isadora-examples folder. This serves as a proof of concept of how I want to eye to track a visitor (obviously using video-in to freeze, freeze and video-in to effect mixer set to difference, rather than an inverse chroma key).

              Thanks @skulpture!

              The system doesn't seem to be allowing me to attach the files...is there workaround or could I email you the files?

              Thanks again!

                @FTP

                Meshlab will convert pretty much any format of 3D model to any other format. That way you can use a model in whatever format you find.

                  @ftp

                  The workaround to upload not accepted file formats is to zip the files.
