I would like to report the great run I had with this update yesterday. I was very happy to have all video and audio and interactivity running from Isadora.

3,5gb master track with audio, small sound samples and video clips PNG+ triggered with wii+Osculator>Midi. Good performance without a glitch.

        Hi all,
I just reopened "old" f24 patches and I noticed that CIMoviePlayer acts weird with Isadora 1.30f25 :
The audio volume control doesn't respond "live" anymore. When a movie is playing you can change the value but it doesn't change the volume. You have to stop movie and start it again for having the audio output level modified.
        Do I send a bug report ?

              Hi.

Just installed f25 today : I have the exact same issue than [ursullivision](/troikatronixforum/profile/278/ursullivision)
The fact is i have multiple versions of Isadora (installed, not running !), since still working on shows created on f20, even f14 !
Didn't check yet if it's working good after ignoring messages...

                Dear Spindflinch + ursullivision,
Could it be that you are 1) running a 32 bit only version of Mac OS, or 2) running on a G5/PowerPC computer, or 3) running on Mac OS 10.5?

                  Dear Spindflinch + ursullivision,

Actually, please try this: unzip the attached file, which will give you a new version of "chk-isadora-running"
                  Then do the following:
                  1) Right/Control Click the Isadora app and choose "Show Package Contents"
                  2) Double click the folder "Contents"
                  3) Double click the folder "Resources"
                  4) Drag the new "chk-isadora-running" there -- replace the old one
                  5) Run Isadora and see if you get the same problem.
Thanks for your patience and help.
                  Best Wishes,
                  Mark

I'm using videoglide software with 2 licenses and it's been working for years up until last week, but now it needs to be re-licensed every time I restart the computer.

To be honest I'm not sure if this is an Isadora problem, or Videoglide as I updated both softwares at the same time, unfortunately..  Anybody else have this problem?

I have been using Videoglide for many years and I have had to re-enter the key many times. Usually it pops up after long non use. So something gets changed that will trigger this. I am sure it is VideoGlide problem. I see this when using other apps like Modul8, Quicktime, Junxion.

Hmmm.  I wrote them, let's see what they have to say (I threw out the preferences and let the software generate new ones but this hasn't solved the problem).
My problem is that I have enter the serial # with every restart of my computer.  This was never the case before.

                                Hello everyone

My first post on this forum. I'm just starting out with Isadora; my first project is to 'port' an existing theatre production from an Ableton/Max/Jitter system to Isadora after it was recommended to me for stability. In that regard, the multithreading change to video in the 1.3.0f25 version has caught my eye. This current project is fairly straightforward, requiring a bin of videos to be played back sequentially and, most importantly, without gaps or stutter. Is this release considered stable and is the multithreading change effective in improving video playback?
                                Thanks,
                                Anthony

I can only speak for f24, since I have not upgraded yet. But I wouldn't expect any problems, there are many ways to achieve a stream of video.
Personally I would avoid using a single movie player, and would build a 2 channel mixer, that crossfades, or switches based on the 'media percent to time' actor.

                                    f24 is quite stable on Windows 7 64bit. I can't get f25 or f26 to run...

Hi, i am getting crashes with windows with 1.3.0.25 when i load a .png file, the same files do not crash .24

As soon as i load in a .png it crashes Isadora. What should i submit to remedy this? This is Windows 7 with 16GB RAM, 64 bit  Intel Core i7-2600K CPU @ 3.4GHz
