      Re: [Snow effect?](/topic/978/snow-effect)

      Hi all

A Project we have started is set in the South Pole, it's a shadow play (graphic novel style) with front and back projection.

I've gone with the 3D particle actor to create my snow scenes as I love the idea of being able to change direction of the storms live.

There is no problem creating blizzards and storms, they look amazing, but when I try to having it fall softly/or slow it down I fail miserably, they start jittering

I sent it to a virtual stage to add effect actors but no luck. Is there an actor I'm missing or a fresh workaround within the generator itself?

      Thank you

        Hi,

You might consider using the 3d Particles 'y gravity' to determine/control the speed of fall. When I use the gravity to create the Y axis movement the slower the movement the more 'particle count' is required to fill the frame. You would want to add a bunch of other parameters to create a snow fall simulation.
