      Hi All,

I have connected a sound level watcher to "picture" in picture player. When the dancer makes a slapping noise on her body, I want the images to flash randomly. I have 21 pictures, and I want the sound to trigger random images in random order. Right now, the sound triggers only the first five or six images because the slapping never gets above a certain level. Also, it always ends on black or "0." I want it to stop on a random image. I know I just need to add something or other, but I can't figure out what it is.
      Thanks,
      Daneeta

Thanks for getting back to me. I had a look at this video before I posted, but it doesn't show how to use the Envelop Generator with the Sound Watcher. The generator is great for just running through the images in order, but I need the images to change as the dancer slaps herself, ideally in random order and never stopping on 0\. It should always stop on a number between 1 and 21\. The sound of the dancer should trigger the flashing of images.

OK, I think I've sorted it. I've gotten rid of the issue with stopping on 0 by bringing up the settings for picture in the picture player and setting 1 as the min and 21 for the max. Then I added "random" with the same min/max and it all seems to be working. Yay!

Glad you got it sorted. From your first post it just sounded like you needed to scale the values (hence the video above).

You will find there are often 2, 3, sometimes even 4 ways of doing something in Isadora.
              Hope it goes well.

i agree with skulpture about there being options on achieving something in isadora and for me that"s just one of it"s strengths.
