I was just about finished with this tutorial when the whole forum went "bonk" three days ago. Luckily I had time to save the HTML in a text file, and got it up today.

If you see room for improvement, then please let me know and I'll make some edits.

By "ad hoc" do you mean making the computer itself a WiFi hotspot and then communicating with it?

Yes, exactly.

Depending on the use it can be quite important as it reduces latency, or if you are in a public place where you don't know much about the network.....
