@bonemap you can use any video editor. If you have the multi channel audio you can use shutter encoder to add it to or replace the audio on an existing movie (must be exactly the same length). If you need to do it for an avi virtual dub will do it.  You will generally need to start with a 6 channel wav file for 5.1. 

You are right the multichannel audio capabilities on the movie player are lacking. You can play multi channel audio fine though and although you cannot route on the fly you can change the channel order in your audio setup on your computer. Alternatively most modern sound cards will let you do routing and some like RME will let you control the routing with osc or midi. 

If you need to route multi channel audio inside and SDI signal it’s pretty common to use an SDI audio embedder. This lets you combine the outputs from an audio mixer with the output of a video system and have control over line delays and channel order. 

Isadora 3.2.6 ARM, Mac M2 Max, MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1

Opening an Isadora 2 file from 2014 and replacing missing media will cause the project to open completely blank.

Workaround:
Clicking "skip all files" will open the project successfully. Replacing missing media afterward in the converted Isadora 3 file causes no problems.

@dillthekraut Thank a lot ! That would have been what I would have done (more or less) but I was in a production so I didn't have time and resources to test it in that way. I'll definitely look into it and report it here as soon as I can. Interesting case

Your are right - i found out why. You have to go into in screen settings you have to go to advanced settings and then and the show all resolutions. After that you will get a list off all resolutions an d you can select the right one...

It's not very likely for me to try it in the near future. I don't find the time to play with ISADORA. And when I have a bit of it, there's a list of many other things to do and try.

I allready suspected, you would go there. But I wonder what you actually need to change here? The resolution and aspect is defined by the systems OS display settings. The only thing you might have to change in the stage setup settings, might be the selection of the right display. As far as I know, there is no other possibility beside GUI and mouse. But in general, if you allways use the same physical output, you most times don't need to change this manualy. The resolution here, will be changed automaticaly, matching the resolution set in the systems OS display settings.

If the aspect doesn't change, Isadora will then allways scale to the full physical output. No need for other changes.

But things get complicated, if content and output aspect doesn't match.

PANASONIC GH4 DSLR > ELGATO HD60 S > ISADORA. Has anybody been able to make this setup work using the GH4 for live capture, as my laptop will not recognize the the Elgato device? Elgato does not show up in Quicktime or any of the Elgato softwares. Any guidance and advice would be much appreciated. I'm using Izzy 3.2.6 in a Macbook Pro, 8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, Ventura 13.2.1.

It took me some time to learn how to work with the mobile app but once i got to know it i works great, especially the AI funcitons. I used it in a danse show to track a dancer. The app was the easiest to activate and deactivate the tracking.

@dusx Thanks. Given this, as most of my calculators are used in momentary situations (button press, dial turn) I think that Javascript makes more sense. It greatly simplifies my patching. If I run into a situation where they are updating as a stream, I'll try to use calculators.
