      @jerkson

      I worked on a show in October with an M2 Mac Studio where we used Isadora and the same dialog came up at some point. I can’t remember if we just installed Rosetta because Apple demanded we do so for some reason (though we never used or needed Rosetta for Isadora) or if we were able to just tell that warning dialog to go away and shut up, but either way, the warning/dialog is a complete red herring. If you can’t make it go away without installing Rosetta, just install Rosetta to make Apple’s dialog shut up, do nothing with Rosetta at all after it’s installed (because you won’t need to), and then continue on your merry way.

      @dusx Thank you very much for your reply

      I thought it would work like this: the layer functionality decides the sequence in wich the video feeds are stacked opon each other and then the Izzymap will distort all of the layers acording to the mappping i made. Is that right?

      I have the same ProjectorActors in a UserActor through out all of my scenes so that i can change the projection mapping from day to day. This UserActor has an UserInput to define the Layer, so it can be different for different source material.

      Here are screenshots from the problem with the motion blur:

      The Video before the motion blur is transparent and after the motion blur it's just black. The Input is a Text Draw, so I suppose it should have an alpha, right?

      And here after the motion blur:

      what am i missing?

      Does a patch without source material help you? It's all quite messy, since I had to build it without real knowledge of Isadora and a tight deadline.

      @dusx I'm not surprised that it programmed in a bizarre fashion. That's all I got to work with. Here's to hoping Watchout 7 is a lot cleaner.

      Makes total sense about the clipboard, it was wishful thinking. I'm also messing around with Vicreo listener and I see I could run a shell script so maybe there's a way still.

      Ultimately, it's not that important - I've just been talking with programmers about fun ideas to make things faster and more interesting for us since we're stuck with what we have.

      I might suggest going through my tutorial on building a video step sequencer. Once you complete the project in the tutorial you are sure to understand Isadora far better.  The tutorial is part of my Build It series: Isadora - Build It! - YouTube

      Of course the Isadora 101 course may be worth looking at first: Isadora 101 - YouTube

      but not if you use a jump actor to go back.

      I made a quick test file and it seems to work as expected for me. I've got my settings to scroll 3 Scenes into view and going to the end and pressing "a" a few times does make three Scenes appear to the left of the currently active Scene when I'm going backward.

      @skulpture Always nice to have an option. But I would't add too much distracting vsual information personally. What I love about the controls is that they limit the patching view to the essentials... Just a personal note.

      @mdeins

      I've logged this request (and we've got a similar one for being able to define custom colors for specific links chosen by the user), but in the meantime, if what you're trying to do is break up discreet groups of actors that aren't heavily interconnected with anything but each other, you could consider using User Actors/Macros (with or without Background actors): Isadora File

      Additionally, if you rename the User Actors/Macro actors or Background actors so that they have a "#" as their first character, you can use the hashtag list to navigate between them easily inside your patch: https://recordit.co/40sKIria0B

      Best wishes,

      Woland

      @woland

      Thank you!

      For some reason I couldn't get your user actor to work so I remade it with this one:

      atem_switcher_selector.iua3

      I have an ATEM Mini Pro and an ATEM TV Studio, and this is designed to choose the input from both / either.
      One would need to change the name of the device in the OSC Multi Transmit Actor Address field to whatever you've named your ATEM device (s) in atemOSC.

      Anyhow, a big big thanks to Peter Steffy from me for porting this over to Windows!

       If it's not letting you upload a zip file it's likely because it's over the max size limit, in which case the only way to share it here would be to share it via a Dropbox/Google Drive/etc link.

      @Michel

      I guess the inconsistency of the naming gave me the impression that the "current scene number" is the same as the cue number, as you noted about the scene select that actually is the cue select.

      It's an easy mistake to make because, as I said, by default they're the same number, and we definitely have a clarity issue with functions and vocabulary in this area.

      @michel said:

      I would suggest all those actors, controls and the cue sheet should be revised with regard to naming.

       Yes absolutely, we've already discussed this previously in meetings and logged feature requests about this. Hopefully, we'll be able to get to this in the near future.

      @bonemap said:

      You can create a fisheye lens effect with the 3D Stage Orientation actor. It has a FOV property that simulates a camera lens. There are other camera controls there as well. It requires a 3D object - perhaps 3D Quad or 3D Projector with a Virtual Stage routed to it. I know it is not as simple as a pass through video actor, but just so you know it is there.

      I got a question yesterday about how to do dome projections and it turns out that fisheye effects are a great solution for that, which led me to re-discover this topic.

      I'm performing this act of thread necromancy because I've made an example file based on what the ever-brilliant @bonemap wrote here: fisheye-using-3d-actors-2023-11-17-3.2.6.zip
