@woland Thanks so much! Yes this all makes total sense. I may look into these solutions or just put up with it as you say. As my PhD is around temporality it may even be good that there is a kind of delay or gap between the hand and the onset of the line ☺

...for your different solutions, all of which are expanding my understanding of how to program switches and triggers in Isadora. Using the Trigger Value actor as a binary 'on/off' switch is powerful. Monty talks about this too. In the end I went for a mouse watcher with no modifier triggering a zero/off, so that i can toggle between on and off using the modifier i set for the first Mouse Watcher (img). This is good, but following the tutorial advice, I am now playing with the Stage Mouse Watcher to get something closer to the kind of 'touch = 'on' / release = off' experience. 

Thank you guys, so far! This is really a big help!  I will try and rebuild it. And maybe cut out the on off in the left hand, if it is even necessary...  I did try to take the on/off out at one point - but I will start trying to rebuild and see if I can get it to work again! Thanks for the support!!! 

@Mark - what I can say right now is, that if the leap motion freezes - usually it happens for all the scenes and I have to restart my computer... but this time it was only this one - so I think it is another problem. but I will go through the comments so far and see if I can work it out:) 

Maybe one could have the option to choose the coordinate system. This would allow progress and still support old pages...?

A very simple version of this can be accomplished, by using a live camera input (you may need to play with back vs front lighting).

Then applying a Threshold actor (to create a black and white only version of the video input). Then the Edge actor (this will trace the edge between the white and black) providing the outline.

You can then send this outline/shadow to any outputs and/or mapping you like.

Together with the visual artists Marcela Rapallo and Rafael Arévalo Peñuela we were testing the possibilities of staging with Isadora software and the new configuration effects on the stroke: sustein and evanescences -fade outs- in real time, using a MIDI controller as an interface physics between the graphics tablet and Isadora.
The new plug in "Live Drawing" created by @mark  provides a thorough control over the most important parameters in relation to live interactive digital drawing, opening a new field in visual experimentation.

Hi ! anyone has experience with the px-pen graphic tablet ? I just bought one. Here is a patch for drawing works pretty ok using the mouse. But with the pen is not working properly: is always drawing. Thats the maine problem, also the relation between the tablet and the stage area
