Is there a way to achieve a buffer function for sound?

I made a simpel patch that loops a live-video input. This works grate, but is there a way to do the same with the sound?
      Thanks

          Dear Tilo,

If you are on Mac OS, and you have the Core Audio option, then you can use any Audio Unit compatible sound plugin. Perhaps something like Expert Sleepers Crossfade Loop Synth might work for you? http://www.expert-sleepers.co.uk/xfadelooper.html

            Thank you Mark.

Forgot that AU plugin is possible. Then there must be a way. Cool!

I used Plogue Bidule inside Isadora to achieve this.

It did work but it made my head hurt.
I ended up using different software for the project in the end.

http://www.digitalfunfair.co.uk I'm using M1 MBP 14" mostly but sometimes use older Mac & Windows machines.
