OSX seems to take a thumbnail of the video from some frame that is not black.- simple but intelligent. It would be cool if isadora also had this kind of check (or maybe asks the OS for the poster frame)- Does windows do the same thing in explorer?

I have a lot of clips that start with black and fade in, in the bin picker they are all black, not so useful, it could be nice to always see something.

        Hi @Fred

I have faced the same issues recently, when using Bin Picker for realtime mixing. Being able to force a poster frame would be a good solution. In addition, it might assist to be able to resize or otherwise work with the file names in the Bin Picker.
        best wishes
