Video freeze at end of fade in

So, just updated to 2.5.1. Building a simple show that, as of now, consists primarily of videos crossfading from one to the next. At the point when the fade in complete, the video freezes for a couple of beats, regardless of fade in/out times. Currently running on a iMac running Sierra. Any thoughts? Thanks much!
