LED Pixel strip and string - best suppliers

Hi,

There appears to be a wide variation to the cost of addressable LED strips and strings. I make the assumption that most (if not all) are made in China. Checking online, the cost direct from a Chinese manufacturer is considerably cheaper than a Western supplier (such as Pololu in the US). The question then is about the quality. Does anyone have Intel or information about quality suppliers of addressable APA102 style pixel strips or strands from China or elsewhere? It would be great to establish a supply at around $5 - $10 US per meter. I have been buying for $20 - $30 per mtr in Australia.

I buy en masse directly from a supplier in shenzen who I have met personally and trust, who also deliver to adafruit and others. I dont think you will see those prices for 144x but for lower pitches maybe.

My supplier makes me whatever chipset at whatever pitch and length I want and I am sure she would make the same for you. At the price you are looking for you might be able to get 60x per meter if you buy in bulk. Pm me you mail if you want me to put you in touch.
