      Movie Player Crashing

      Hi,

Running Isadora V2 on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) OS High Sierra. I've a number of Scenes that are very simple, each playing one movie at a time (.mov), with audio triggered separately in a different scene. Everything can run fine for hours but then suddenly without any warning the movie player will stop playing and I cannot for the life of me figure out why this is happening.

It happened last night during a performance and I'm despairing. I'm sure it's something very obvious and simple that I'm overlooking but at this stage I can't see the wood for the trees and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

      Jason

        Hi there Jason,

If you have a show stopper, the best method is to contact the support department of Isadora (Click on Help in the menu above) to find the link to create a new support ticket.

Personally I can't help you out without knowing more about your patch / your codec / etc 🙂 Please share those pieces of information with us.

h.264 is not ideal. Please read section 6: https://support.troikatronix.c...

However this should not stop playing.

Have you opened a support ticket?

Just to make sure, check in your energy settings (in system preferences) that  "put hard disks to sleep" and "app nap"  is disabled

Cant say if that is the problem, but they should definitely be disabled just to be safe
