I have a 2012 MacBookPro. I made a patch which has 3 projectors and each has the ability to crossfade. Clips are mostly HD ProResLT or H264. And I have two bins of quadraphonic sound quicktime movies. The patch runs at 270 @ 30fps without problem, but I noticed the computers fans were ramping up. I looked and it was running all cores at 60%+ or so and a temp of 200+ (F). These levels happens after I've edited the patch - changing this or that or adding clips. If I close the program and reload without editing, it runs cool and at around 10% processor load. Just curious why...

      Thanks,  john

H264 can be cpu heavy, so that might be part of it.
The other thing to watch, is if you open it fresh, and its running  at 10% and cool....
does it stay that way if you let it run for a long time, or does it increase to the levels mentioned?

Just for your attention, especially because you use quite an old computer: https://community.troikatronix...
