adjust the Projector Intensity with an Envelope Generator

How to adjust the projector intensity up or down; from whatever intensity level it is at, using an envelope generator without having the intensity jump to 0% or 100% before beginning a smooth fade in or out. What am I missing?? Thank you.

If you have something feeding the projector intensity to get it to its initial level, you can also feed this into the first value of the envelope generators.
