When fooling around with the new Grapher plugin I discovered that the Sound Level Watcher has a built-in release time of half a second or so. Just want to know if this is on purpose.

      mbp 16", 2021, m1pro, 16gb, 12.6 / 6core trashcan, 11.2 / youngest Izzy

Not quite sure what you mean. Could you post a gif and a bit more explanation? https://www.screentogif.com/

Here is the output of me clapping my hands, where I would expect very narrow peaks (there is no such reverb in my room), but instead the level drops over time.

No big deal - I'm just curious.

@mark would be the one to answer this I suppose.

I think this is actually an issue with the Grapher plugin (another thread found a bug with its update rate when used with a square wave..  being drawn as a sine.)

I think this is probably the same, since the sound drops near instantly.

Change the sound watcher outputs to graphic mode and increase the size (drag them wide). Then test how the actors outputs display the data, I expect it's very quick. Shouldn't have any added decay.
