As part of an artists in residence program at the IDlab (Interdisciplinary Digital Laboratory) at the Academy of Theatre and Dance (AHK Amsterdam) I had some time to work on some GLSL effects. So that the students could also get access to this work I ported the effects to Isadora's GLSL format.

There are 13 effects that can be downloaded from the IDlab github account.

      https://github.com/AHK-IDLab/IDlab-Isadora-Shaders

Hopefully there will be more GLSL actors to come soon!

If you make something interesting with these please let me know and post some images or videos in this thread. Of course these can be edited and changed easily - if you make some improvements to the code or examples make a pull request on the repository.

Over the coming weeks we will publish some other tools and tutorials we have developed for projects in IDlab.

      Cheers

      Fred

Feel free to put these up on the plugin page if you haven't already 🙂

@woland I am going to keep them on the github from the university for a few reasons and cannot put them directly on the plugin page.

Can we create a "plugin page" that says "here are some useful shaders" and simply provide a link to the github page? Would that be OK?

Sorry I should have clarified, this is what I had in mind as well.

@mark If we settle on a format (like some tags in github) it is pretty easy to make a website that scrapes github for those tags (this is how the community contributions for openframeworks are tracked https://ofxaddons.com/categories and added).

I like that you host everything centrally, but with git we can always make sure that the plugins are up to date. I will switch to a release zip later today for these plugins and then use versioned releases from now on to keep compatibility or if someone wants older versions.

The OF structure for community contributions is also pretty cool, and something that could be good to adapt - every contribution should have implementation examples.

For the moment these should stay as they are, but keep me posted if you have some other way of dealing with contributions.
