      Hello all,

I need to transcode my ProRes files from show to HAP avi. I went to link, which is in the help section, but I get 404 - non existent page. Please, anybody has some compressor or advice how to do it on the Win machine without getting to get Apple one.

Is there any solution like from Da Vinci or something simillar? My free Da Vinci does not even import the files.

      Thank you in advance!

Hi there. Thanks...well it does not really work, but maybe its me not understanding something, however.

Help article does not really work well, cause it says

          - The HAP DirectShow codec is freely available. To install the codec on your system you need to download 'Windows installer (1mb)' from the RenderHeads site and run the installer once downloaded.-

Can not find the Windows installer, neither their free compresso. Is not listed anymore. The hyperlink on site is 404.

          Than

          - Additionally, your system needs to have the Microsoft c++ redistributable 2008 x86 libraries available. -

That listed site does not exist - 404 and by search it all the time shifts me to x64/msi file download.

I realized that Da Vinci does not provide Hap. However, there is new release, so maybe. Wonder if anybody has more information - or what to look for by setting up export?

I am also willing to go for workaround - install some compressor or trial/buy install of another software.

Another question for the softs mention in help. Will they work without installing Microsoft c++ x86 as I can not find them?

The Magix Vegas. Magix Vegas is like 300-500. Or it is Movie Edit Pro?

            https://www.magix.com/us/video...

            https://www.vegascreativesoftw...

Corel, is it enough studio pro or I need ultimate. This looks super cheap.

            https://www.videostudiopro.com...

Would like to figure this out before I spend some money on it. I think I will never use it for anything else than Isadora projects.

            Thanks for help in advance!

Thanks a lot! This is brilliant! I just tested, hope everything goes as well as test. Ou man, you saved quite a bit of time.

I am impressed by your Dell work station. Was looking on something like this. Would you mind on sharing about it? Especially do you have a 4k screen and what is the gamut on it.

                Greets & hugs back!

I like it a lot - it's great for video rendering and Isadora. I do have a 4k screen with over 100% aRGB gamut. It's also matte, which I like a lot.

Glad Shutter Encoder worked out for you!

                  Cheers,

Thanks @citizenJoe for answering this question / helping out 🙂 ShutterEncoder is a really powerful (and most importantly fast) tool for these kind of operations.
