Hello fellow Izzydorians, have been wondering why there are no OSC hardware controllers available?

There are many midi hardware controllers but they have a limited range of 7 bits (0 to 127), whereas an OSC hardware controller would have a much higher range

After some extensive Googling all i could find was the monome arc (no longer available)

What i'm after is a hardware controller with 8 or even 16 knobs, each with a 10 bit or higher resolution. Maybe there's a physical or technical reason why this doesn't exist? For instance 10 bits, or 1,024 steps might be too many turns of an endless encoder

Some alternative midi controller workarounds include:

      - use 2 midi controller knobs, one for "coarse" and the other for "fine" adjustments

      - use a Midi Fighter Twister, so pressing a push-encoder activates control of a "fine" function

      - find a pd knobs controller (no longer available), which have 13 midi cc (10 bit) knobs

      Rgds, Mr J

The only ones I know of are from Keith McMillen.
see: https://www.keithmcmillen.com/products/quneo/ that's the only one of theirs I have played with (in store)
others from them also support OSC

YES, but QuNeo is not precise enough.... I'd love to have long linear motorized sliders that send out parametrable OSC....

I thought of a really silly option: If you have money coming out of your ears you can buy an ETC Nomad and motorized fader wing and then just not use it for lighting at all but instead just as a way to use the motorized faders as an OSC controller by setting up the Nomad to send out and receive OSC data with a 1-1 patch for as many faders as you have on the wing. 😂

@mr_j I had the same thought, I am midway through making one with 12 bit encoders, motorized faders and configurable OSC. It is taking a while. I wish I could say when its complete, but life is busy and this is not a priority. Definately a huge whole in the market, and gettting high res controls is really important.

Also, while it doesn't have faders (it has dials instead), I realized I'd be remiss not to mention the new Stream Deck +
