      Hello! - hoping someone can help!

      I am having an issue with Isadora only showing a black screen on my laptop. I had this problem a few years ago - but then switched computers and forgot about it...

      Isadora works normally through 3.0.7 but then if I try to run 3.1.1 the output stage is black.  I just built a show on 3.2.6 on a different computer and the same thing happens if I try to run it on my laptop.  Seem that this was a problem with early version of 3 - but I can't find anything about the specific issue I am having - I am guessing it has something to so with my graphics card?

      The image does show up in the stage preview - but not on any stage.

      Computer specs:

      MacBook Pro 15 inch (2018)

      OS 10.14.3

      Processor 2.2 Ghz Intel Core i7

      Radeon Pro 560x 4096MB

      Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

        Your screenshot shows that you have selected Display 3 but Display 3 does not have a device connected, so it remains black. You must choose an output with the resolution (here display 1 or 2) as you can see below:

        best regards

            Thanks for the reply! - I just selected display three so that the output would show up on the same screen so that I could do a screen grab.  If I send the stage to an external monitor I get the same result.

            I saw a post where someone had the opposite problem - black stage on 3.0.7 but then works fine on 3.1.1 - so does anyone know what happened between these two versions?

            Reading some specs, I am not sure if the processor on the laptop is sufficient for the newer versions - but not entirely sure...

              @lala

              You know, you can do a "force Stage Preview" in the output menu? This might be more significant.

              You find the same function in the stage setup at the lower edge.

              But beside that, you are right about that the stage preview window should show the content, despite the non physical output.
              I use this a lot for preview functionality, with content, not yet meant to be send to public.
