      Hi all,

      I was wondering if anyone could help me please? I'm trying to set up a performance with a dancer and while she is dancing, I will take a live feed in to Isadora (so far so simple).

      What I want to output is the regular background from behind the dancer as the naked eye sees it, but for the dancer to be completely blacked out as if she was a shadow dancing or in silhouette. I hope that makes sense?

      Cheers 🙂

        @Bootzilla

        There is a way you can do this but this way it is important to light the dancer really bright to have a big contrast to the background (ideally the dancer wears white). And you need a camera where you can adjust the settings manually. Then you can use the attached patch, play around with the threshold value.

          ... or use a kinect instead of a regular camera, this will have the dual advantages of separating the dancer from the background and also easily outputting a clean silhouette of the dancer.

          i do this quite often in workshops by running the kinect through NI-Mate and Syphoning an image out into Isadora.
