Help with Show Stages, video previews, ffdshow codecs please

Hello, hope someone can help. I am using Isadora in windows, and have a Vimicro 2.0 USB webcam. Everything is in and working, the trigger X flickers, the Live Capture settings are all right, but I have no preview whatsoever, unless strangely I go into the Edit Custom Size window whereby the preview in that window, and in the Live capture Settings window both start working - until I close that window again.
I had a pop up before and approved a ffdshow? But haven't seen that again.Any ideas? -
Is there any more info I could provide to get some ideas? Is there a better place I could get some help?

There are a few more infos that could help people having a windows system. What windows and Isadora version are you using?

Isadora 1.3.0f24as far as I can tell. -
There's a bug with the older Windows version wherein you could only get the input to show up if you have the Live Capture Settings set to full resolution. Could that be your issue?

I would suggest updating to the latest pre-release. I've been using it on Windows 7 Pro for some time and its very stable. It fixes many little issues, too!

Can't seem to install the new version now. Do I have to completely uninstall the older version as I'm being prompted to?

The simplest thing to do it uninstall the old version and then install the new.
