@cambrucedavis THANK YOU for that file with the user actor! I've been reading about PJLink for several days now but like the OP I know next to nothing about code. I couldn't figure out why my actors weren't doing what I wanted but yours is SUPER intuitive and I was able to easily use your file to shutter and un-shutter my Panasonic projectors!

Well that website shows the camera streams with a flash player. I never found out how to get the true camera stream URL out of the flash player. And then if you have found a way to do that you can try if it is working with [ipCam2Syphon](https://github.com/bakercp/IPCAM2SYPHON). Not all Streams are working with it. But on this website (http://en.ipcams.ch/) most of the cams are working with ipcam2syphon. In Firefox you have to right klick on the stream and klick show image. Then a new window will open with only the stream and you can copy the URL into the streams.xml file you find in the data folder of ipcam2syphon. Best Michel

That actor was just a demo of the problematic. I don't really need a countdown 🙂 Snapshots are not going to work in a complex scene with a lot of different parallel processeses. cheers

The sony has a better recorder, not sure if that means a better picture, both have SDI out, only the sony has genloc if you need it. Neither is more suitable for fibre, it is what is suitable for what you are filming....

so finally I use a webcam, took out the IR-filter und put in a peace of developed negativeflm. Then I set up a extra light (normal bulb with 3x ND-filter infront of it) and everything works perfectly!

Thank you both.  I apologize for my lack of clarity; I resolved it after seeing your comment Jhoepner, about the number of displays and realized I was projecting it on the wrong display.  @Michel, yes I think I was trying to drag it onto my projection earlier. Problem solved--thanks all!

Thank you both!! Based on what you said, I tried using GPU to CPU conversion run from both movie players, and was able to use effects on them.

sorry for the late response, was busy setting up the installation. i used the text draw actor and it worked fine, didn't know izzy had one. i've already deleted the jpeg images with the text.
