I've been experiencing an issue when I use the quartz composer effects or any effect that has a vid CI as the playback engine I get a blank screen entirely. Like it would go from displaying a movie or a picture on my stage to just black when I add CI-kalida for example and even when I would check the little preview on the link it would show a empty transparency grid. I tried a bunch of different actors and a bunch of different combinations of ci to gpu or GPU to ci but it definitely seemed like anything that went through a ci or QC effect just doesn't work. I did a little bit of research and I'm wondering if it has something to do with the lack of a separate graphics card in the new m1 products?  I haven't been able to find another example of this issue on the forum so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong.   I love these effects and would hate to lose them.

Hi @dusx, you mentioned, "there is a known issue withRealsense on M1 machines running Monterey". I am one of the people who suffer from this issue. Do you know will there be any updates on that? I really wanted to use my D455, but I don't know where I can get more updated information about it. Please let me know if you do.

I'm looking at buying a MacBook Pro with M1 Pro chip. Just wanted to see if anybody had feedback on using the chip.

Is it as good as it's hyped up to be? particularly, with Isadora?

Opinions on 16 vs 32gb model? how limiting might it be to stick with 16gb?

Anyways - would love to hear your experience running Izzy & all things video with it!

Note the final image where you say 'NO' in your comment works with the addition of a Trigger delay (sorry I missed that).
This will ensure the loaded image is pushed into the Freeze, and that any updated Picture is also updated.
This method with the freeze is what I have been using for years (we didn't have GLSL at that time), I don't know if there is any performance benefit?
It does seem the default GLSL is the easiest approach 🙂
