I sometimes find that I have to do "end task" in task manager after quitting Isadora. the exe still hangs there and attempting to run isadora does nothing, no prompts. 1.3.0.24 windows 7x64

just did a few tries -(less than 10 )with opening and closing isadora and happened a few times. I saved a few isadora.dmp dump file from the task manager option.

I spotted this because I used the position output to trigger an arduino that triggered a panasonic mixer via gpio port.
The visitors of the museum of design in Zurich can stand in front of a green screen and the live cam feed plus the Izzy output get mixed in the panasonic mixer. Now the live camera has to be switch active or inactive on the panasonic mixer at a exact position of the movie. So it was important to know the exact position, thats why I noticed it.

I have made a "frame by frame" user actor, this calculates how many frames the movie has and then shows exactly what the position value of one frame is. With every click on the arrow left or right moves the position of the movie one frame back or forth. So it actually should input the proper position value for each frame. Except when you use the position offset.

thanks fubbi, you are right, the SimpleSynth application is receiving +1. The midi-monitor I just downloaded shows that Isadora is sending the correct information!

OK. Well the patch looks pretty straightforward. (Though, for what it's worth, those Pan Spin Zoom actors are a bit expensive CPU wise.) That being said, a couple of questions: 1) You're using a lot of pictures. Most of them are JPEG, but a couple are PNG. I wonder if the PNGs could be somehow causing trouble. If it's not a big deal, I'd change those PNGs to JPEGs just to see if it helps. 2) What is the resolution of those pictures -- if they are not consistent, then perhaps a range. A common mistake  is to use pictures that are _way_ beyond the resolution of the video projector. (Often, people just are thinking about it; they export from their camera software and import into Isadora; but the resolutions are like 4096 x 3192 or whatever. Those are big images to load, and not necessary since the projectors at most are 1920 x 1200.) 3) The main movie clips are AVI files. I assume you have the "Windows Native Playback" option turned on in the Isadora Preferences? Let me know if any of these suggestions help or trigger an insight for you. Best Wishes, Mark

I find that sometimes when working with quad disort that I have to click off the scene and go back into it. Perhaps this is what happened?

(However until recently I was working with a really old machine, so that could have been why)

Yeah, when we were having troubles we did re-boot a couple of times and it kept on being the same. Sadly, having spent a few days more working with the newer version of Isadora the problem has come back a couple of times. The past few times re-booting it has helped.  I still have no idea why this could be happening.

I normally run off a Snow Leopard system and have never had anything like this happen...

strange, in f24, with MBP 2.93GHZ Core2Duo OSX10.6.8, it worked with pictures but the bypass didn't, I mean you couldn't turn the actor off.
Then, I copied the inverter and projector actor, I connected it to a movie player, I changed the new stage to out2 but it did not worked, actually the inverted picture stop working as well.
Repeated the process now both are working but the bypass on the picture still don't work, you cannot take the negative effect out
