Hi,

I have an Epson EB-L1505UH and I control  the shutter by PJLInk. In a scene, which is always active, I have the "Send PJLink" actor and via Broadcaster-Listener actors I communicate with it. In the projector I have only configured the IP and I have not set a password for the PJLink. The only thing I do set is the password @Panasonic in the Send PJLink actor because I read it in a forum once.
Maybe if you set a password for the PJLink in the projector field, 

 in the Send PJLink actor you should enter the same one.

The solution here:

BING copilot translated the JSON to HEX and pasted it in the TCP send actor. Worked straight away!

@fred I can see how that would be convenient for many things. I'm less than a month into learning this, so everything is new.

I'm still having trouble getting the mouse wheel to control the zoom. It doesn't seem to deal well with feedback loops. I want to get a value, add the scroll wheel delta, and put it back in that value. But even watching for triggers, I haven't gotten it to work cleanly. Seems to add the number a bunch of times in a loop.

For now, I'll just use right-mouse-down with vertical position for the zoom.

So I have left-mouse-down to drag the box around the screen and right-mouse-down to change the zoom. It's working well enough, but it seems kinda hard to get the mouse wheel controls to do what I'm looking for.

Does anyone have experience with the ViewSonic LS850WU projector?

I'm certain I've got an installer for the older X4 windows version saved on my PC, runs happily on Windows 10. Not got access to it today sorry, but I can check tomorrow.

I think this is the link to the relevant bits, it's got the command line interface for mac there as well (Helpfully in 'Archive' rather than 'Legacy').

I thought that Wall Designer was supposed to support X4 if the firmware was up to date but I may be wrong. I actually preferred the old interface to the new Wall Designer.

I must say, I do find it fascinating where you delve into user actors created by people who know what they are doing. Brilliantly simple yet I would not have come with that.

This is fantastic. I did not believe there would be that level of detail but mainly thought there was actor named oddly (to me) that would achieve this.

 Yes, sort of. Making it one big video really helps things stay in synch. You may run into issues if your aspect ratios differ though. This method is also excellent when you're trying to edge-blend content across multiple projectors.

you're welcome. i use the Video Fader into Multimix combination regularly - often linked directly to the slider channels of a Korg NanoKontrol. the slightly confusing thing about it is that at zero it lets the video stream through, but at 100 its fully faded across to the background colour, so i tend to swap the MIN and MAX values so it works more like a hardware mixer.

No problem. About four years ago I spent three days going absolutely mad trying to figure this exact issue out. The forum pointed me in the right direction and now I include this step in all the shows I make.

I was just testing and playing around on the patch you sent me. I copied and pasted the actor in the patch.

They had DHCP on so had the same subnet and ip class on the same network. 
I will be testing it again later today to see if it was something stupid on my side.

All these suggestions look great. It took a while for responses to come so I didn't realise anyone had responded but I've just finished touring my last project and started on the one with the interactive walls. I've got a lot of tech and experimentation to begin but this is a fantastic starting point. I got a kinnect for £8 and a webcam and am away from home for 2 months so I'll have a play with those then try out the Pi/Arduino/touchboard suggestions in the new year. I'll share my progress.
