For clarity, ref dusx's post re usb adaptors, all monitors in the set up I referred to were ran from the native DP/HDMI and DVI outputs on the custom PC graphics card. 

The DVI may have had a HDMI-DVI adaptor; it has been a while. The science gallery (dublin) has since closed down- a casualty of covid related funding amongst other reasons. 

The set up ran pretty well for the duration. 

With respect to your set up, I am not sure how many monitors you have etc.

- Try your set up 1-2 monitors at a time to see where the offender may be.

- Try the monitors individually and then start doubling up till you encounter the open GL issue. 

- I assume you are on the latest version of Isadora etc. 

-  As Dusx said, remove any usb adaptors and see if that is a solution.

The error you posted is often given when the USB connection fails.
USB extensions can cause this. Are you using any USB extensions or are the Webcams connected directly to the computer (adapters)?

 I believe Woland meant to say two identical webcams on the same USB hub won't work. 
This is a matter of the hardware having machining IDs, so it creates a conflict. Moving one to another USB hub causes each to have a unique address.
NOTE: not the next slot, but to another collection of slots. EG, you have 2 USB slots on the left of your laptop, and 3 on the right.. this is likely 2 hubs, so you will need one connected to each side

 This is an issue on PC. gpeddinos' project was working as expected on Mac, but failed when moved to PC. I have confirmed the problem, and have entered the bug report.

Unfortunately we're still dealing with other new features and addressing different bugs at the moment, but in the meantime, a workaround might be to use the lovely, free drawing program Alchemy and the Screen Capture actor to get that back into Isadora (I've used this method for a performance before and was very pleased with the result).

both files are working well on my MacBook Pro M1 with Monterey. The only small problem I see, but it is certainly what you want, is that after pressing the reset button, the stage 2 (direct view from source) is black and you must click twice on the show/ hide original video button to get the picture again.

The problems with the stage could come from an older Isadora version on a new computer/OS.

Hi,

I've been experiencing an issue when I use the quartz composer effects or any effect that has a vid CI as the playback engine I get a blank screen entirely. Like it would go from displaying a movie or a picture on my stage to just black when I add CI-kalida for example and even when I would check the little preview on the link it would show a empty transparency grid. I tried a bunch of different actors and a bunch of different combinations of ci to gpu or GPU to ci but it definitely seemed like anything that went through a ci or QC effect just doesn't work. I did a little bit of research and I'm wondering if it has something to do with the lack of a separate graphics card in the new m1 products?  I haven't been able to find another example of this issue on the forum so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong.   I love these effects and would hate to lose them. 

I'm on a M1 MAX MacBook pro
