Also make sure you are using the right video format/codec. Some .mov files will not play on Windows machines but obviously will on Mac.

I have been running on 10.8 for a long time (most of us here on Mac have also) all fine. Download the latest version of Isadora for best results.

To echo DusX's comment, the Data Array actor is the go-to method for doing what you're describing.

Very cool.. this will be used extensively I am sure..
seems like it borrows a lot from traditional laser projection technology.

Data Array with UNICODE would be awesome. It is one of the most important things that is needed in Isadora.

Hello, fubbi, I disagree: This is the source code of max patch that was designed to send text data from file over to Isadora. The reason why I have posted that if some one needs to add midi control to it they can....

The slider has an ID number -- if you go to Views > Enable Edit Mode. Then you should see the ID number in the top right of the control. Now look at the actors in the scene. You'll see that some of them have a little "tab" coming out of the input, with a number that corresponds to the ID numbers of the controls.

You can change this number by clicking on the title of the parameter (e.g. the words 'mix amount' of the Video Mixer actor) and an inspector box will appear. Inside you'll see "Ctl ID Link" That's where the ID number is set. If you take the time to read the chapter "Using Control Panels" starting on page 102 of the Isadora 1.3 Manual (available in the help menu) then I think most of your questions regarding the Control Panel will be answered.
