You might want to have a look at using Unity 5 (now free) with the Syphon plugins. You can send your images from Izzy into Unity 5 where you can align your virtual camera with your projector and virtual objects with the real world, then send back the Unity 5 scene via Syphon into Izzy. If your instruments produce just single(or clear range) frequency then why not. It should work. You can tweak freq width and slope to tune on one instrument. 

But if you talking about musical instruments then I think you will have difficulties.

thanks @Michel temp gate was introduced to work a round to a strange new behaviour on router actor, before 2.0.5 if values come into it are trigger or similar it does not send trigger when you change output selection. That is not wanted (Mark says) and he probably fix ASAP so for now thanks for your debug, but when fix come out I'll share this patch again without "temp gate".

Am I the only one thinking that both the control panel and the stage need browser/html renderer actors with a transparent background that a JavaScript actor can be linked to and use as DOM? The possibilities then become rather endless in terms of control panel presentation/customisation with JS and CSS, and canvas/css animation to the stage etc. Ok, all doable with tcp/IP actors and desktop-to-syphon, but still, some WebKit action within isadora would be luverly.

You are using the row col chg output but I would say use the enter and exit trigger outputs with the enter you trigger your envelope generator that goes from 0 to 100 and with the exit you trigger another envelope generator that goes from 100 to 0.

There is no sure way unless you are using the actors for calling snapshots rather than the snapshot buttons. Since you are wanting greater programatic control, I would suggest patching in you snap shot controls... maybe a keyboard table watcher and recalling snapshot from it. This way you are sure of a trigger for ever switch.
