Hi Izzy community, I'm looking for some help. I am struggling to open an izzy file that @mark created for use with the iKeleton OSC iOS app. The thread can be found here: https://community.troikatronix.com/topic/8409/ios-skeleton-tracking-app-with-osc-free-until-may-5th?_=1695879558655
Having downloaded the file I can see it was created in Isadora 3.2.6, but for some reason I am unable to open the file in Isadora 3.2.6. I'm initially prompted to created a new version of the file that will run in 3.2.6, which seems odd behaviour and then Isadora crashes.
In the above thread Mark says that he used the Guru 19 Rokoko Studio live Isadora file as the basis for this new file. I attempted to open this file instead (I have successfully done so previously) and again Isadora crashes. I even downloaded the version of Isadora that this file was created in, Isadora 3.0.7, again Isadora crashes.
I have attempted to open both files on two different Macs (see signature below), in each instance Isadora is running in Rosetta mode and I have ensured I have downloaded the most recent OpenNI Tracker, Skeleton Decoder, Skeleton Visualiser and Rokoko Studio Live Watcher add-ons.
Could it be my macOS? I'm running Ventura 13.5.2. Has any one else experienced this problem? If anyone is able to open the Isadora file from the link above and could then post a screen shot of the patch, including any user actors that will be super appreciated.
Many thanks and warmest wishes,
Simon
Anti-aliasing in Izzy Map. Does anyone know a way to have better anti-aliasing in the izzy map? I'm contstantly using Izzy map to Map projections on different surfaces. But any time it's not a simple verticle or horizontal line the aliasing effect is so obvious. Does anyone have a fix for this?
ehi guys.. a little help
I need a little suggestion to do a slightly advanced operation in isadora:
In ableton I have a parameter, like the wheel of a return track on the midi channel; this is automated by a modulator effect, such as LFO.
What or what actor in isadora should I use to get the values of the modulated parameter in ableton??
Hi,
I am preparing three hard surfaces for projection and wondering about ‘high gain’ projection surface paint. Has anyone experience with paint products that they can recommend or critique?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Best wishes

Hi there,I am presently setting up a small map to trace a person with the 3D particles actor.
For some reason presently and yesterday, I have found that it will only draw a dot if the x/y coordinate is = 0, if I change that, to another number, there is no particle appearing. The z is -1 so that should not be the problem. Is there a bug? or am I doing something wrong? It has worked before for me, but not now...
All the best Eva
Hi
What is the most reliable way of Ableton Live triggering events in Isadora? The setup will be two MacBook Pros (10.15.7) one running Ableton Live the other with Isadora controlling video.
Many thanks
Simon
Hi,
for those who might need a sound player with positional marker points, I enclose a working test patch.
for my latest project I pimped up the sound player actor with Javascript in order to allow jumps to markers and allow a positional slider (like other players as vlc). My new project is completely driven by audio positions of one piece of music. The marker positions drive the whole setting of video and light changes.
For setup and rehearsal I need to jump to specific positions in the music. So I designed the marker actor to jump to the exact position, and also to jump to the position 2 seconds before the marked position.
For testing purpose I extracted the relevant parts of the patch and added simple projections as proof of concept. Just use an audio file of your flavor and have fun with test sound player advance .
Hi,
I have an Arduino sending an OSC-signal, and I am trying to find out how to recieve it in Isadora. I watched the video about OSC, but that is using touch OSC. Do I need an external program, or can I recieve the OSC signal in Isadora if I have a network that is sending it?
The arduino is sending via UDP on the network, so question is, how to recieve that in Isadora?
Thanks
All the best

I have a usb midi device coming from an ETC ION
When the cues on the ION are taken to quickly in succession and the cues in Isadora don't have enough time to complete they don't take the latest cue and get stuck and Isadora stops responding to midi. Is there a way to have Isadora have a latest takes priority setting for triggering midi cues or do I have to make my fade times shorter so that all my cues finish before the lighting cues so that this problem stops.
Hello folks,
I am trying to create video layer which looks like dynamic abstract painting, but when sensor is triggered there is a stop time/freeze/ bypass (depends what actor) and I see concrete picture. I can not really see accumulation of movement and decay of shapes and colors in smooth way. I see lot of chopped pics with occasional some smoother transition. Which means, either I am doing something very wrong, or it is bit difficult.
Thanks for help.
I thought it was a simple patch: Pulse (24 - 100Hz+) -> Random -> Limit Scale -> Float to Integer -> Pic player -> Motion Blur ( Accum and Decay I tested various levels; I tested also Gaussian) -> Projector = does not work!
