Hi, I'd like to use Isadora for a live video input from my Canon R5C and dual fisheye lens, that produces a single video stream in which the image frame is a left/right stereo VR180°.
Basically, the video input have to be passed and processed from a STmap so the resulting output video can be processed in some way and be viewed in an headset. I have the ST map (the same I use in Fusion), but... there's an actor or a workaround to do this ST Map?
Hi,
there are some glitches, but it is a beauty.

Has anyone else had trouble with Windows 11 and the Matrox TripleHead2Go DP Edition? I have students working on a project and my two Windows students cannot get it to work properly. The Matrox software will only use the Matrox as a clone and show an extended desktop on both monitors plugged in. Does anyone have any ideas?
Hi,
I found the MacOS command line utility (https://community.troikatronix.com/topic/6652/step-by-step-instructions-convert-isf-shaders-to-isadora-glsl) which converts isf format shaders so they can be run inside an Isadora GLSL Shader actor, but it won't run in Ventura because of security (even under sudo which honestly I'm not keen on doing anyway).
What I couldn't find was any details on what the utility is doing behind the scenes. Presumably just a bit of rewriting by changing the names of the input/output parameters and maybe renaming the required uniforms (iTime etc.) Does anyone know what the required changes are? I'm happy to do it manually, it's not the worst way to learn a new technology.
Thanks!
Tim
Dear All,
While I haven't made a proper test yet, this new Skeleton tracking app for iPhone + iPad might be of interest to many here. It sends OSC so that definitely means it can be interfaced to Isadora.
Note that it does not need the special depth cameras on the iPad; it immediately recognized a skeleton on my iPhone SE 2020.
You can find the app on Apple's AppStore.
I will try to whip up a test patch this afternoon.
Best Wishes,
Mark
I'm trying to record all of the position data from the OpenNI skeleton decoder for a short sequence. The goal is to grab a snippet of some movement work and then replay that data afterward to experiment without needing the performer in the room. I'm so sure this has been addressed in the forum somewhere, and the closest I could find was Re: [Storing OSC Data](/topic/4960/storing-osc-data). Unfortunately, I still couldn't work from there to a solution.
Best,
Rory
MacBook pro 13", M1, macOS Ventura | Isadora 3.2.6
Perhaps interesting for those owning Dynamixel motor.
I wrote a script Python running from command line and allowing to move the motor with simple OSC.
Hi
Need some help. In version 2 software you can set up stage contours, then change to a different project and the contours you have adjusted in stage set up will still be there.
In version 3 it does not remember stage set up ?

My project uses Ableton for audio and Isadora for video/lighting. I've set up everything to have Ableton start the show and send a MIDI signal which prompts Isadora to move to the next scene which has the full show. It's a film projection so everything must be in sync. Everything is working fine.
However, I've noticed that the internal delay is not quite reliable. There's always a bit of delay and it seems that the delay is not always the same, which makes it hard to just compensate by having Ableton trigger Isadora earlier. Is there a way to ensure everything will stay in sync? I tried exploring the Movie Locker actor but the movie looked choppy (I don't think I really understood how to use it). Any ideas or tutorial for that? Thanks in advance.
Hello dear Isa Community
Does anyone use a Tangent Ripple with OSC in Isadora? No matter which port I use in Isa, the OSC auto detection in Isa does not work. It works fine for TouchOSC ... But the tangent ripple also works in conjunction with Hexler's Protocol - there the output of the ripple is monitored correct.
Does anyone have an idea? Possibly package size or something?
Thanks for your help and greetings from vienna,
Tom
