I finally could retest everything and it looks like things are going better.

@Mark : I've tested the bêta version of Isa you sent me on August 20 - Isadora 2.4.5b04 - to see if the "Shared OpenGL Ressources" could now be activated. No it doesn't work, I've got the same problems on Isadora's launching. Half of the attempts end up by a crash...

Concerning my problem of Isadora going really slow when I activate my three videoprojectors in Preferences/Stages : I've checked the option "Disable Vertical Retrace Sync" and the problem suddenly disappears. So my patch is working now.

Until here, the fact of sending a splitted movie towards different stages doesn't cause troubles so I hope to be able to let my big patch as it is...

i also realised this, and is on win 10 only when you put the scale faktor for windows text and icons to more than 100%. and, or if you change the zoom faktor in izzy interface.
if the zoom on standard and the win scalefaktor to 100% then it works all fine.

Well every version that has a **b** in the name is a beta version, also **b04** is beta. No company would tell you to use the beta version for real productions, its just to be on the safe side.  At the end it is your choice. I am always working with the newest beta version, but usually I don't switch to a newer one if I already started a show with a specific version, only if there is a bug that stops be from doing what I want.  If you start working with a beta version always download the newest beta. I don't think its quite as simple as that.

Codecs are funny things and Mark picks the codecs that work the best with Isadora. Some codecs are not suitable for live performance.

I need to look and read into this a bit more but a quick comment and something to try in relation to _" It seems that having two instances of Simple Client open is "confusing" Isadora,..."_ Try duplicating the Syphoner application and opening them both. See if that works. You may need to rename one as Syphoner 2; this may help Syphon as it may be seeing the same feed or getting confused especially if they the same name.

Yes, this can easily be a problem.

I maintain 2 Global User Actor folders. One for V1, and another for V2.

another solution is to use ScreenCaptureSyphon, it's 10$ but working when hidden behind Isaora's window.

I didn't try with particle or generative effect in Unity but I will, for the moment I use processing for generative effects and I try to use GLSL shader. There is no OSC lost in the process and no latency but, during the show, when I start the render in Unity the computer fan is starting! I will try to finish the manual soon. All the best, Jacques

Holy cow. This saved me! I just installed a patch with 40 shaders here in beijing and had to squeeze them into one scene. Boy am I glad we talked about it.

Hi there, Mark here. I'm sorry I didn't respond to this earlier. I just browsed your crash reports, and the most of the crashes are different... there doesn't seem to be any pattern. However, at least one of the crashes (which appeared twice, and may be involved in others) is solved in the v2.5 open beta. This bug had to do with any file open or save dialog. I would suggest that you try moving to the 2.5 beta (v2.4.5b04 at the moment) which you can download here: http://troikatronix.com/isa25beta Please try that and let us know how you do. If you continue to see crashes of this nature, it is very important that you file a bug report as @Skulpture suggested. I can't check the forum as often as I'd like, but if you submit a bug report that way, those reports will get seen by me if the rest of the team can't offer you a solution. Best Wishes, Mark

I do. Just sent you a crash report to prove it.
SD card in, crash every time.
SD card out, all fine.

This is not the highest priority thing, but it can lead to panic and stress if you don't know why you can't get Isadora to start. It crashes pretty instantly.

You can only publish outputs currently. Please submit this as a feature request (see link in my signature). To do similar, I suggest using a shapes actor and add the circle created by it as the alpha to your video. Then you can control its placement via the shapes actor. Hope this helps.

I've just uploaded v2.4.5b04 of Isadora for Mac and Windows. You can get it on this page http://troikatronix.com/isa25beta Some of the fixes include Fixed a serious bug on Windows 10 when individual displays were set to different scaling values Fixed a serious bug on Windows where scrolling a Control Panel with an Edit Text control would crash Drastically reduced the delays experienced when pasting GLSL code into the editor on Mac OS. (This was especially notable with long chunks of code, and has to do with the automatic colorization of the text.) Fixed a bug where the drop-frame flag of Midi Time Code was incorrectly interpreted. (It was showing DF timecode as non-DF and vice-versa.) Changed the behavior of the import files function: now, the imported media items are not selected after import, making it easier to select individual items. Best Wishes, Mark
