I was quite surprised, HDMI implies video standards only so Sd or HD. However it functions more like a DVI port- pretty handy. I never used it, just plugged it in as it was lying around and was surprised to see it register 2 full outputs.
Try this, http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HD-SDI-1080P-Full-HD-Box-Camera-2-Megapixel-1-3-CMOS-Image-sensor-/281010620283 it has manual settings, is IR ready and easy to mount. You can get very cheap ultr wide lenses for it and it also does HDSDI OR Composite over BNC, much better than a camcorder with locking BNC connections and it never turns off. With a 150 dollar black magic capture you can get low latency SD OR HDSDI. I have used a few of these and they are perfect for tracking. If you are clever you can also remote the settings but I did this with OF not Izzy. Use a lens calculator to see what you need to use to get the width you need from the right distance. Grab a an IR Lamp and you can do all the tricks from mortal engine (although Izzzy might not pull them off). With all this your are still about the same price as the camera mod and you have some pro (ISH) gear. Best of luck
Not directly Isadora, but imagine there will be some interest in it here
Owl programmable audio effects pedal is doing well on Kickstarter at the moment http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/marser/owl-programmable-effects-pedal
Mehdi has reported the same problem with the TH2Go. It may be related to the issue we're discussing in this thread. I'll make sure to make the TH2Go part of my examination of this topic.
Thanks DusX. Really, it was the re-seating of the Display Port-to-VGA adapters coming out of the Triple Head DP that made it work. Will test tomorrow if it remains solid when I boot up again. :0
Does any other third-party (i.e,. not BlackMagic) software that shows the 1080p30 input? E.g., QuickTime Player X when attempting to record??
Best Wishes,
Mark
Encouraging to hear that it works for you. I'll try reloading the drivers but I am using 9.7.1 and see if it makes like better.
I have changed the system preferences before selecting the input in Isadora but I have only had a positive result with HDMI. I know the camera & cable are working because I can get the composite feed into Isadora with my old Grassvalley ADVC 55 box.
A good (not cheap) CAT5/6 extender is just as good as running via a long cable or using a booster. I've used/seen extenders from Gefen and others on some of the biggest projects around.
yes, I see a CalDigit dock with TB loop through and HDMI out has been announced... $199, "coming soon". I'm sure more will follow... and cheaper. @Mark, you're right, the new Macbooks are all kind of I/O crippled, especially also since the demise of the expresscard slot. Not at all built for mad tinkerers!
Sure. Here it is. I just got back from the studio and can confirm that it works quite well with the Lanbox LCX and Izzy 1.3.0f24. I haven't erased the Lanbox as suggested by Mark, but rather reboot it from LCEdit before starting Izzy and running the sequence in the patch. Then I use the user actor as a projector to output to my leds.
One more run tomorrow and then off to Paris with it,
Rick
Anyone else had issues with burn-in on the GPU (both the internal display and secondary)? I know this was an issue at the beginning, but thought it was fixed with some updates... guess I have a lemon?
Hello, would it be possible to be a beta tester on the Custom Actor, Mark? This is kind of crucial in my current setup and need to capture video through the ultrastudio 3d.
Please let me know (or anyone)..
Thanks
