I really want to but there are other toys that are higher on my list at the moment. I want two of these for example: https://www.tapwithus.com/. Just think programmable wireless, wearable, low-profile controllers that would work SO well with Keyboard Watchers.

Interesting device the size of a marker that can scan text to your computer wirelessly. Add in Syphon or some other software and it could have some fun art applications I think.

@mookai1973 still don't know which CPU's you are talking about, there are lots of i9 and xeon models, I would chose the gtx 1080 over the firepro card.

I beleive this is a know issue, that is being addressed for the next release of Isadora.
The work around is to send the camera to a stage and capture the stage to disk.

I was just testing and playing around on the patch you sent me. I copied and pasted the actor in the patch.

They had DHCP on so had the same subnet and ip class on the same network. 
I will be testing it again later today to see if it was something stupid on my side.

I have one. The ability to send graphics to the buttons is really useful, and combined with the fact that they are actual switches with tactile feedback is better than on screen buttons on a touch screen. It needs its software to be running to for it to work, it does not store the settings and graphics on the device as far as I can tell. I haven't used other software with it yet, but there are a couple of open source projects around that talk to it. Don't know the ins and outs of those as I advent had the need to use them yet.

problem solved! i use finally TH2G DE, i need VGA cable for long distance, and with SwitchResX i manage to define my own resolution.

 I use it with either USB 3.0 or Thunderbolt connection and I never had issues with it. And yes, that is correct it should also show itself in Skype..

I did the same math as you, Lucas, and that's why the Intel is so interesting. That plus the boost (I assume) in performance which I hope is noticeable.

Does anyone have an opinion on this: one of the tech guys I showed the spec's for the Intel machine to said that the Radeon™ RX Vega M GH graphics chip has an M designation which means that it's built for Mobile use. He thought that it might run very hot and affect performance negatively... The spec's specifically state that it's designed for 6 outputs, so I would think that they've taken that into consideration.

His other thought is that it may NOT support analogue video out, specifically VGA. With all the VGA cable and projectors that I have, it's worth considering! I'll see what I can find on this question...

After a recent Windows 10 update, to version 1803, my Kinect 2 stopped working properly: it would power off every five or seven seconds, power back up, detect users, then power down again. Basically useless for person tracking.
One could see this just from the white lights on the front of the sensor turning on, then off again.
Scouring the Microsoft Kinect Development forums I found the solution, which is, bizarrely, that you have to keep the microphone on the Kinect enabled.
I share this in case anyone else encounters this:
First check if the audio is disabled from Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Sound -> Recording -> Kinect Microphone. It should be enabled.

Next, open the Microsoft Store Camera app - you will have to physically disconnect or disable any other cameras you may have attached to computer, eg webcam - and under Setting -> Change privacy settings -> Microphone -> Allow apps to access your microphone -> enable the microphone. This should resolve it.

You can verify this visually, and also by using the Kinect Configuration Verifier in the Kinect SDK Browser.
