      @jfg @Fred

      I'm certain I've got an installer for the older X4 windows version saved on my PC, runs happily on Windows 10. Not got access to it today sorry, but I can check tomorrow.

      I think this is the link to the relevant bits, it's got the command line interface for mac there as well (Helpfully in 'Archive' rather than 'Legacy').

      https://www.datapath.co.uk/datapath-archive-downloads/datapath-x4-archive

      I thought that Wall Designer was supposed to support X4 if the firmware was up to date but I may be wrong. I actually preferred the old interface to the new Wall Designer.

      [edit: sorry, I've read your post properly now and see you had this link already.]

      Not at this moment. Isadora doesn't support Dual GPU or using an External GPU. Most of the time I use my PC tower with the latest graphic card to make sure that the project runs great (For example 16 HD video playback to name a thing)

      Hi everyone ! Usb cameras have proven to be unreliable in low light situations. So I think this new option ... could you advise me and tell your experiences about black and white cctv cameras and if possible in color. What hardware is needed in addition to the camera to get into Isadora? What cables do you use and available length. and if it is compatible with Mac. thank you very much!

      [Thanks @DusX ]

      You will likely get the best performance (for cheap) with old black and white cctv cameras.. running into some type of capture device.
      Most webcams are pretty bad with low light, and have lots of auto focus, brightness etc features built in that can make things difficult.

      Thanks all for your advices, and feedbacks.

      Latest Macbooks are far from my budget. It's going to be my latest mac (i think).

      Unable to make a technical choice between NVIDIA and AMD, I think I'll go for the AMD Radeon R9 M370X/2Go, just because the mac and the card is 2 years younger..

      All the best

       Yes, sort of. Making it one big video really helps things stay in synch. You may run into issues if your aspect ratios differ though. This method is also excellent when you're trying to edge-blend content across multiple projectors.

      @goddessmoon2017 so far the skeleton tracker needs NVIDIA cards for cuda acceleration and it is windows and Linux only.

      It is early stages and resource heavy right now, and also still only available in the US and china. I had to get one forwarded from the US to develop with.

      For sure it will get better and cross platform support but this is going to take quite a while to get there and then to stabilise (SDK wise)

      Depending on what you are trying to do, I might got for a nVidia GTX (maybe a 1080 or better). This will give you 4 Displays (1 used for your system display)
      And then add a DataPath (displayport) to the equation. The data path will take the 1 DisplayPort and give you 4 outputs (4k cut into 4 HD outputs).
      This gives you the 4 outputs from the DataPath plus 2 direct from the nVidia card = 6
      The Video Card direct connections could be further extended with Matrox tripleheads or more Datapaths.

      ** some AMD cards will give you 6 displays, so you still need to extend it (since you need a System/Operator display).
      I believe nVidia cards on PC have been more thoroughly tested

      My reason for this configuration is that it allows the Video card to keep all video onboard for output.
      Sending it out via a BlackMagic card, requires moving the video from the Gpu to the output board, which is time consuming and will effect your performance.

      Sending it directly out to an external device (datapath or Triplehead) doesn't require this extra step, and actually offsets some work to the external device.

      If you are working with SDI, I recommend avoiding the Tripleheads. These have been a nightmare for me at times to get a standards compliant output.
      (output would go Displayport -> HDMI -> HDMI to SDI converter. Often the HDMI signal would not be recognized by the SDI converter)

      @primaldivine thus is not a AMD card but a nVidia card.

      The 2060 will offer you lots of power. I run a 1070 in my laptop and I nearly never max the video card out. .  Cpu always maxes first for me.

      This may change if your running many outputs with stacks of effects, but I think you will find this card very capable.

      The 6bg memory limit is probably the only restrictive spec.  I've run into problems with 4 displays (1 operator) when loading large jpegs for manipulation before. Best to keep an eye on vram usage while working (task manager will show you on the second tab)

      We gave up on Isadora for now. The installation opens tomorrow so we switched over to resolume. I'm off work until Wednesday. Once this and my other event close out I'll do a small test setup in my office to hopefully get Isadora working. Once I have it setup in my office I'll try completely disabling the audio hardware.

      @kjstepanek

      For triggering videos with the arrow button you have to use the "keyboard watcher" actor. Assign the arrow key to the right to add 1 to the float counter and the arrow key to the left to subtract 1 to the float counter. This way you can cycle through your videos. To assign the arrow keys to the "keyboard watcher" actor click into the black field of the "key range" input. Type a single quotation mark (') on the keyboard, then click on the right arrow and again a single quotation mark ('). Do the same on a second Keyboard watcher for the left arrow. You will see an empty space between the quotation marks, but thats fine.
