      @dbini Thanks John - that's clarified it, I was stuck on how to set up a timecode equivalent. As you say, it's all there in Mark's recording.

      thanks, that will be a useful workaround. Very helpful.

      But I would still be curious to know if any Catalina users are able to use the QC KeyEventEmulator...

      i ve saw you have an answer but because , one question has often many answer , I would know if it could possible to use user actor ?

      Build your user actor as you builded your first scene , then past that user actor in each scene that you need it . Then each time you need ( new show ?)  Change the value in the user actor in the first scene and when close the user actor , select update all .

      It will work , no ?

      Re: [Load pictures automatically](/topic/1288/load-pictures-automatically)

      It's been a while, but I recently tried Jamie's AppleScript to load images from a folder on my desktop into Isadora's Media Bin automatically, but I could no longer get it to work. I am using Isadora 3 on Mac OS 10.15.17. Wondering if it has something to do with the admin settings (which I can do nothing about because its a univ comp) but other scripts seem to run fine. If I place individual images into my watch folder nothing happens in Isadora. If I drag multiple images into my folder at once I get the following error messages.

      Sorry, anyone know what I am not seeing?

      Thank you!

      May ,it would be interesting, to have a board with the z translation value according to the FOV value to make the edges of the image match up to the edges of the stage frame !

       It's pretty easy to find this by simply shift-clicking in the 'fov' input value and dragging the mouse up or down until it the edges match. (When you shift click and then drag, you get a finer resolution.) It only takes a second to do this.

      @plem

      The easiest way is to plan ahead and make sure all your media matches up with your output displays to avoid scaling completely. If your display is 1920x1080 with a refresh rate of 30hz, you'll want a camera that captures 1080p @ 30fps, video content that's 1080p @ 30fps, and still images that are 1080p.

      Failing that, Isadora scales your content to fit onto your Stage automatically (but scaling means processing power, which is why you want to avoid scaling wherever possible and just make sure that you create or capture media that fits your Stage/Display resolution and refresh rate.

      🙂

      Best wishes,

      if they have to be exactly in Sync, i would recommend networking the machines together and using Michel's SyncVideo actor. you could then trigger them at any time.

      Here's an example patch

      The first Scene is your "preshow" scene. In this Scene you'll just press spacebar to start the cycling Scenes going in their loop.

      The next three Scenes (Cycling Scenes 1-3) are identical. They have example content in them, and an Enter Scene Trigger connected to a Trigger Delay (15 secs) that will trigger a jump to the next scene after the delay. There's also a Gate (controlled by a Keyboard Watcher) between the Trigger Delay actor and the Jump actor so that if you need to program something in the Scene, you can press "a" to temporarily disable the automatic jump.

      The Final Scene is an example of what to do if you want the Scenes to continue looping forever. It's essentially identical to the previous three cycling Scenes, but instead of jumping to the next Scene (because there isn't a next Scene) it jumps to the first cycling Scene, which starts the loop again.

      Hope that's helpful 🙂

      @Ohran

      Going from one scene to the other does not fade values from an actor, it only fades/crossfades the video and the audio. If you want to pan the video horizontally you need a envelope generator where you give the starting and the end point and the time it takes from one to the other value. But I guess you also have to zoom in the video to have a sort of panning feeling.

      I have connected to MA with Artnet and Midi.

      Midi is a bit easier sometimes.
